Terms of service
Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you ("Client" — typically a licensed real estate agent or brokerage) and YYC Media, operating under an Alberta corporation ("we", "us"). By booking a shoot, signing up for a Partner Plan, applying to the Super Partner Program, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these terms.
Scope of services
We provide real estate listing media: HDR photography, official iGUIDE virtual tours with interactive floor plans, aerial drone imagery (where permitted), and marketing materials (social graphics and a printable flyer PDF). iGUIDE is a third-party platform we use to capture, host, and serve the virtual tour and floor plan layer. The exact deliverables for your booking are listed in your selected package or subscription tier on the website at the time of booking.
Booking, scheduling, and capacity
Bookings are confirmed only when we send a written confirmation by email. Our publicly stated capacity cap (16 listings per month) is firm; once we are full for a calendar month, additional bookings are pushed to the next available slot. Partner Plan and Super Partner subscribers receive priority scheduling within that cap, but priority does not guarantee any specific date or time.
Pricing, taxes, and payment
All prices on yycmedia.ca are in Canadian dollars and exclude GST and any other applicable taxes, which will be added at invoice. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. One-time bookings (including the First Listing) are billed at booking. Subscription pricing for Partner Plan and Super Partner is locked for the 12-month commitment period stated on the relevant card; renewals may be at then-current rates with notice.
Subscription rules
Partner Plan provides 4 shoots per month for up to 2 named agents. Unused shoots do not roll over. Additional shoots beyond the monthly quota are billed at the per-shoot overage rate published on the website ($99 for Partner Plans). Super Partner is invitation-only; we accept up to 2 new Super Partner brokerages per year, combined across tiers.
First-Shoot Guarantee
The First-Shoot Guarantee applies only to the once-per-realtor First Listing booking. If you are not satisfied with the first delivery, we will re-shoot at no additional cost. If you remain unsatisfied after the re-shoot, we will refund the First Listing fee. The guarantee covers our shoot and edit work; it does not cover circumstances outside our control such as access issues, staging, or weather. The guarantee is not transferable and is not available on subscription shoots, add-ons, or repeat bookings.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Please give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule a confirmed shoot. Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled start may be billed at 50% of the booking fee to compensate for held capacity. Same-day cancellations after we have departed for the property may be billed at the full booking fee.
Drone photography — flyability
Aerial drone shots are included with every shoot when the property is in a legally flyable zone under Transport Canada regulations and weather permits. When flight is not permitted or not safe, we substitute additional ground-level exterior shots at no change in price. We will not fly outside applicable Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) under any circumstances.
Delivery
Standard delivery is 48 hours from the completion of the shoot. Photos, floor plan PDFs, drone files, and marketing materials are delivered via a Dropbox link sent to the email address on file. iGUIDE virtual tours are hosted by iGUIDE on their platform and delivered as a tour URL you can submit to MLS or share with buyers; continued availability of the iGUIDE link is subject to iGUIDE's own service and retention terms. Rush 24-hour delivery is available as a paid add-on, subject to current capacity.
License and usage of deliverables
On full payment of the applicable fee, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the deliverables for the marketing, listing, and sale of the specific property they were produced for, including on MLS, your brokerage website, your social media, and printed listing materials. We retain copyright in all deliverables and may use them in our portfolio, on social media, and in marketing materials, with reasonable effort to omit identifying client information on request. The Client confirms they have the property owner's permission to engage us and to use the deliverables for marketing purposes.
Limitation of liability
We work hard to deliver on time and on spec, but events outside our control happen. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or our services is limited to the fees you paid us for the specific booking giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost commissions, lost listings, lost referrals, or reputational harm. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by Alberta law.
Force majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, wildfires, public-health restrictions, equipment failure not attributable to negligence, internet or hosting outages, or government restrictions on aviation.
Governing law and changes to these terms
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of Alberta, Canada. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in effect at the time of your booking applies to that booking. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page.

Floor plan disclaimer
How floor plans are produced
Floor plans delivered as part of any YYC Media package are captured on site using the iGUIDE system and generated by iGUIDE's platform. They are intended as a marketing aid to help buyers visualize layout and proportions — not as a survey, appraisal, or legal description of the property.
Measurement methodology and accuracy
iGUIDE measurements are captured on site using laser-based scanning and processed by the iGUIDE platform. The iGUIDE methodology is compliant with the Real Estate Council of Alberta's Residential Measurement Standard (RMS), and we deliver the RMS measurement as part of every shoot at no extra cost. Despite this, dimensions and total floor areas should still be considered approximate — wall thicknesses, alcoves, sloped ceilings, mechanical rooms, stair openings, and similar features may be represented in simplified form for clarity. Final responsibility for the measurement that goes on MLS rests with the listing agent (see below).
Agent responsibility — verification
Real estate professionals using our floor plans are solely responsible for verifying that the floor plan, the measurements shown on it, and any derived total square footage figures meet the requirements of the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA), the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA), the applicable real estate board, and any local municipal or provincial regulations that apply to the property and the listing channel. This includes RMS measurement requirements, MLS submission rules, and any required disclosures. The agent is responsible for any RMS measurement that goes on MLS.
No reliance for legal or financial decisions
Our floor plans must not be used as a substitute for a Real Property Report, a registered survey, an appraisal, or a building permit drawing. Buyers, sellers, lenders, insurers, contractors, and any other party should not rely on our floor plans for legal, financial, structural, or construction decisions and should obtain professionally certified drawings or surveys for those purposes.
How to request corrections
If you spot an error, please email hello@yycmedia.ca within 14 days of delivery and we will work with you to issue a corrected floor plan. After 14 days, corrections may be billed as a separate booking.

Privacy policy
What we collect
When you submit a booking request or a Super Partner application through this website, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, brokerage, email, phone number, the package you are interested in, urgency level, and any property or application notes. We also collect basic, anonymized site analytics (page views, approximate location, device type) to understand how the site is used.
How we use it
We use submitted information solely to respond to your inquiry, schedule and deliver shoots, send invoices and receipts, and manage your account if you become a recurring client. We do not sell, rent, or trade your contact information with third parties.
Service providers
We use a small number of trusted vendors to operate the business: Resend for transactional email, Dropbox for file delivery, Vercel for website hosting, Sanity for content management, and iGUIDE (Planitar Inc.) for virtual tour capture and hosting. Each of these processes the minimum data required to perform their service. We choose vendors with reasonable security practices but cannot be responsible for their internal handling beyond what is committed in their respective terms.
Cookies
This site uses minimal cookies — only what is necessary for the site to function and (if enabled) basic analytics. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not run third-party ad trackers.
Retention
We retain booking and client records for as long as needed to operate the business, comply with tax and accounting obligations under Alberta and federal law, and respond to client questions. You may request deletion of your contact information at any time by emailing us — subject to records we are legally required to retain.
Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA, and Alberta's PIPA where applicable) you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information held by us. Please email hello@yycmedia.ca; we will respond within 30 days.

This website and our services are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Aerial / drone operations
Compliance with Transport Canada
All aerial imagery on yycmedia.ca and in client deliverables is captured by, or under the direct control of, a pilot operating under a valid Transport Canada Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) certificate, in compliance with the applicable Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) Part IX.
When we will not fly
We will not fly within controlled airspace without authorization, near Calgary International Airport (YYC) or other aerodromes in violation of distance rules, over open-air assemblies of people, or in conditions that breach the operating limitations of our equipment or the rules in effect on the day of the shoot. Where flight is not permitted, additional ground-level exterior images are substituted at no change in price.

Affiliate disclosure
Parent corporation
YYC Media operates under the same Alberta corporation that owns a separate construction business serving the Calgary residential market (garages and basement finishing). Cross-promotion of that business happens off-site only — through in-person networking, leave-behind cards, and printed materials — and never on yycmedia.ca itself. The websites, brands, and contracts of the two businesses are kept distinct.
Realtor referral incentives
We offer two referral incentives, both disclosed openly: (1) a free shoot to any realtor who refers another realtor who becomes a paying client, and (2) a $500 cash referral payment to a realtor whose referred buyer separately contracts a garage or basement project with the parent construction business. Referral incentives are paid only after the referred work is invoiced and paid; they do not affect the price you pay for our media services.
